Current Journals

American Indian Art Magazine (Art) – the major current journal for the subject. Includes substantial articles, calendar of events and information on museums and galleries, book reviews and advertisements for private galleries. Color and b&w illustrations.

Museum Anthropology (Davis)
National Geographic (Davis)
Natural History (Davis)

These three periodicals are more general, but issues may contain articles on art.

E-journals

E-journals can be found on the UNC Libraries main page, under the "E-Journal Finder" heading.

In addition to the journals and periodicals listed above there are many other journals available full-text online in the E-journals section. Look under both the "Art & Architecture" section and the "Native American Studies" and "Anthropology" sections. Full text of many journals will also be found in the large database aggregators such as Academic Search Elite and Expanded Academic so be sure to search those as well.
