Abstract: Alabama lawyer, legislator, and secessionist, whose father came south from Rhode Island. Letter from N. Bullock of Bristol, R.I., to his nephew, E. C. Bullock, concerning slavery, abolitionist opinions in New England, and N. Bullock’s fear that the desire of some southerners to dissolve the Union was motivated by personal ambition.
