Dr. Venable didn’t die until about 1920, and as a past president, he would have been in the picture when this was taken–unless he was on his overseas trip. We know that Dr. Venable died after Edward Kidder Graham. Sooooo, I am thinking that this must have been made while Dr. Venable was recovering from the hazing incident that left him so shaken.

At least I think that is right. I might be getting rusty with the dates. It has been a while.
