    My favorite over-the-top characterization following Krispy Kreme’s 1996 debut in New York appeared in GQ magazine: “The Appalachian love child of the souffle and the croissant.”
    btw. the “Donut Queen” button isn’t a company-authorized item — it came off a gift shop rack.

    I believe the NCC gallery also has one of the Krispy Kreme paper hats that came straight from the Raleigh store . . .
