An old document, found in a book in our very own Wilson Library, leads UNC student Mark Johnson back to the spring of 1863 when two Confederate Secret Service agents faced danger, confusion, and secret bargains as they move much-needed treasure from the Carolina coast to the Confederate capitol in Richmond, Virginia.
