Class of 2010 Designates Library for Giving
The class of 2010 has chosen to endorse the University Library for senior class giving.
Every year, Carolina’s senior class designates a campaign beneficiary and encourages members of the class to make a financial donation as a way to give back to the University.
“Everyone has studied, slept, and socialized in at least one of UNC’s libraries,” says the senior class Web page. “Now return the favor!”
In making this designation, class of 2010 graduates join alumni from 1950, 1991, 1993, 1994, and 2003 in making a class gift to the Library. The Library also received a reunion gift from the class of 1941.
The Library has sought to direct gifts from recent classes to books, online publications, and service upgrades that especially benefit undergraduate students.
Senior class officers are suggesting that class members make a donation of $20.10 each in honor of their graduation year. They hope for a class participation rate of 43 percent, providing bragging rights over the class of 2009.
