UNC students: Enter the map competition
Come celebrate Geographic Information Services (GIS) in Davis Library on GIS Day, Nov. 17, 2010.
The event is free an open to the public.
At 1 p.m., Nick Graham, program coordinator of the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center, will discuss the North Carolina Maps project and Mike Graves, Library Systems Department, will discuss geospatial applications on the Web.
Following the program, attendees can enjoy refreshments, vote in the student map competition, try out geography apps on the Library’s iPads, and visit with GIS professionals.
This event is sponsored by the University Library and the UNC Department of Geography.
