All ages are invited to “a banquet of beastly rhymes” with author Bob Forbes, as he reads from his newest collection of poetry for children, on Saturday, May 7, at 3 p.m., in the Wilson Special Collections Library. “Let’s Have a Bite! A Banquet of Beastly Rhymes” (Overlook Press) features thirty-three “delectable rhymes about animals naughty and nice.” Characters including a photogenic buffalo, a color-changing emu, and a well-dressed narwhal are illustrated by British artist Ronald Searle.
