Global Warming public lecture November 8

Renowned paleoclimatologist Michael Mann, Ph.D., will deliver a free public talk about global warming’s impact on today’s world as part of the Second Annual Carolina Climate Change Seminar. The lecture will be on Nov. 8 at 8:00 pm in the Carroll Hall Auditorium. It is sponsored by the Department of Geological Sciences, the Department of Marine Sciences, the Institute for the Environment, and the College of Arts and Sciences.

Mann’s research, including the famed “hockey stick graph,” has been sparking intense political debate for many years. His talk is titled, “Global Climate Change: the Impacts, Urgency, and Likely Consequences to Humanity.”
