D. Preprint Sources
APS E-print Server
The predecessor of arXiv.org, this site contains e-prints submitted up to
May 31, 2000.
ArXiv.org e-Print archive (Cornell University)
ArXiv.org provides access to scholarly articles in physics, mathematics,
non-linear science, and computer science.
CERN Document Server
A source for particle physics and related areas, this site includes the
bibliographic records and fulltext of preprints, articles, books, journals,
photographs, and much more. CERN is the European Organization for Nuclear
Research and the world's largest particle physics center.
E-print Network: Research
Communications for Scientists and Engineers (Department of Energy)
This resource provides access to e-prints and other scientific
information on thousands of websites and databases around the world. It permits
browsing by scientific discipline in addition to a Deep Web search capability
that combines full-text searching of PDF documents on e-print websites
with a distributed search across e-print databases.
SLAC SPIRES HEP
Literature Database (Stanford University)
Covering high energy physics, this database contains journal papers, preprints,
e-prints, technical reports, conference papers, and theses. SLAC stands for the
Stanford Linear Accelerator Facility.
E. E-Books
The Online Books Page (University of Pennsylvania)
This source
provides links to over 70 free online books on physics topics. The site also
offers searching and browsing by title and author.
Safari Tech Books Online
This is a very helpful site when writing code or programming. Safari tech books
allows full text viewing of many guide books and tutorial books on different
programming languages.
