Searching Chinese-Japanese-Korean (CJK) Records

In the online catalog search box, type in romanized Chinese, Japanese or Korean terms (e.g. author, title) Subject headings are in English. The standard romanization systems used for CJK records in North America are: Pinyin for Chinese, Hepburn for Japanese, and McCune-Reischauer for Korean. On the search result hitlist screen, click on a hyperlink. The full romanized record will display. To view CJK vernacular scripts, click on the button "Display Non-romanized Version".

NOTE: The online catalog is not case sensitive and ignores diacritics when searching. A hyphen (-) is treated as a space if not included in the search term.
