The Bernard J. Flatow Collection of Latin American Cronistas

(Spanish American Discovery and Exploration)
Housed in the Rare Book Collection in Wilson Library, this extraordinary collection of rare books on the discovery, conquest, and colonization of the New World consists largely of original sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth-century editions of the accounts of the New World by the Spanish chroniclers, or cronistas. The Flatow collection provides students and scholars in the humanities, the social sciences, and the natural sciences with a wealth of new possibilities for research and study. A checklist of works and a list of bibliographic sources included in the collection are available.

All titles are searchable via Carolina's catalogs.
