Periodicals

Periodicals refer to magazines, journals, and newspapers which may contain articles on a particular topic. Spanish film and film studies has many such resources, and it would be wise to browse the shelves in the UNC libraries for new issues of these titles.

Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies. (2000-present).

This scholarly journal goes in depth on current issues in studying the culture of Spain. Available via the E-Journal Finder.

Cinéaste. (1990-present)

This quarterly magazine covers the area of film and film reviews. The Winter 2003 issue was a special edition spotlighting Spanish film, including interviews with the top filmmakers in Spain. Available in print in Davis Library or via the E-Journal Finder.

Pronounced “Porlared”, as in “Polaroid”. Free online webzine for Spanish film that features news on distribution, exhibitions, new releases to DVD of Spanish films, and general news about Spanish film.
