Introduction

What is this?

“A Pathfinder functions as a step-by-step instructional tool which introduces a library user to the variety of information sources available in research libraries.”

Canfield, M. P. (1972). Library Pathfinders. Drexel Services Quarterly. 8 (3) pp. 287-300.

This is a guide to scholarly resources on the study of Spanish Film. Such resources cover a variety of topics, ranging from the historical period of the Spanish cinema, beginning in 1896, through present day. Recent scholarly works focus on the change of Spain from a dictatorship to its role as a modern government in the midst of an advancing world culture, and such works will thus make up the majority of critical works in this pathfinder. Regardless, the guidance given on this page and the ensuing pages will offer various paths for research using the resources and tools of the UNC library system.

The UNC Chapel Hill libraries can help with any number of research topics. Listed in this pathfinder are materials for beginning a research project on Spanish Film. Also listed are several materials for general film study. Use the navigation bar to view the Browsing and LC Call Number instructions, guides, dictionaries, frequently cited works, bibliographies, periodicals, web resources, and film title information listed. If you are unfamiliar with some of these types of resources, don't worry. That is what this site is for: to inform you about available resources.
