The Curator for Slavic and East European Collections, and the André Savine Collection selects materials in all formats for the Slavic and East European Collections in the vernacular and Western languages published in the territories of the former Soviet Union, former Yugoslavia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, and Hungary. In addition, her responsibilities include the acquisition of materials in the vernacular published in the West. Retrospective materials in Slavic and East European area studies are also acquired by her regardless of their language or place of publication.
