Service Guidelines & Procedures

Libraries & Collections served: Davis Library, House Undergraduate Library, Wilson Library Special Collections, Health Sciences Library, Law Library, Bio-Chemistry Library, Music Library, Geology Library, School of Information & Library Sciences, Math/Physics Library, Planning Library, Art Library, School of Government Library, School of Journalism & Mass Communications Library, Stone Center Library, Carolina Population Center Library, and the BA Career Resources Center.

Scope of Service: Materials from all the above libraries and collections will be delivered to the home libraries of requesting patrons. This includes ILL requests from the Academic Affairs ILL service in Davis Library. Pick up and delivery of returned books will also be a part of the service. All items designated as circulating by the lending library will be delivered as requested. For faculty members requesting campus box delivery: we prefer to deliver to departmental campus boxes in Academic Affairs; if necessary, however, we will deliver requested materials to specific Campus Box addresses via campus mail.

Service Schedule: The basic operational schedule for delivery/retrieval will be Monday-Friday between 8am and 5:30pm. The primary routes will be scheduled to run 10am-1pm & 2pm-5pm. Exceptions to the above schedule may be made on an as needed basis depending on availability of couriers and other factors.
