All books are subject to recalls, which may shorten the loan period. Borrowers are guaranteed at least 30 days from the initial checkout, and at
least 14 days from the day of recall. The Library will notify you when a book you have is recalled by another borrower. There is no
grace period for recalled books; the recall fine begins the day after a book is due.
Renewing Materials Online
UNC-Chapel Hill library patrons may renew their books by computer via the
UNC Libraries Web page.
To renew your items, enter your name, as it is entered in the Millenium database, and borrower's number or PID.
You are now in your account where you can renew your checked out items.
Items checked out from Davis can be renewed a maximum of 3 times online. Circumstances such as book recalls, outstanding
fines, or an expired borrower's card may prevent online renewal.
If you have any questions about renewals, please contact the Davis Circulation Desk at 962-1053.
Things to remember
It is important that items be renewed on or before their due dates.
Davis materials can be renewed in person at the Davis Circulation Desk during library
hours.
