Recall a Book Currently Checked Out
Any UNC One Card holder or registered library borrower can request a book or item that is currently checked out to another patron. Please note that Media Resources Center items cannot be recalled.
Current UNC students, faculty, and staff (except those affiliated with Health Affairs or Law) can use the Carolina BLU campus delivery service (requires one-time registration process).
To recall a book via the catalog using Carolina BLU:
-
Click on the delivery icon found on the individual item's record in the catalog,
or log in to your Carolina BLU account and
fill in the delivery form by hand;
Log in to your account using your ONYEN;
Make sure the drop-down menu says "Recall UNC Copy"; and
Indicate your preferred pickup location. UNC students and staff can choose the most convenient campus library; UNC faculty can
also have materials delivered to their Campus Box (CB).
If you do not wish to register for Carolina BLU, you can use this form instead.
If you are affiliated with Health Affairs or Law or are a registered library borrower, please use this form.
Renewing your Books
You may renew your books 3 times through My Library. Faculty who have checked out books from any of the Academic Affairs libraries have unlimited renewal privileges through My Library.
