In addition to using Google and other search engines, use resources developed by librarians such as the Stone Center Library's Guide to the Web, as well as Librarians' Internet Index or the Scout Report.

UNC Libraries tutorial on Evaluating Information includes a section on evaluating information on the web. Online!: A Reference Guide to Using Internet Sources includes tips on citing web sites using MLA, APA, or Chicago styles.
