Black Studies Center

The Black Studies Center includes the Schomburg Studies on the Black Experience, a series of essays about the development of Black Studies as an academic field; historical backfiles of The Chicago Defender; and the International Index to Black Periodicals Full Text. It is a source for scholarly articles in the humanities and social sciences about the Black experience in the U.S. and the African Diaspora.
