Remember to Expand Your Search to the other Triangle institutions if UNC doesn't have what you want. You can request materials from NCSU, Duke or NCCU and get them delivered here within two to three days. Look for this box in your search results at the top of the page:

E-Research Tools

Sociological Abstracts - provides access to the world's literature in sociology and related disciplines, both theoretical and applied. Abstracts only - have to track down full articles through library's catalog using Find at UNC buttons.

Web of Science (ISI) - provides access to the Science Citation Index Expanded(TM), Social Sciences Citation Index(R), and Arts & Humanities Citation Index(R). Remember to uncheck Sciences and Arts and Humanities sections. Remember "view related records."

CQ Researcher - offers in-depth research on dozens of current events and issues each year. From Adoption to Ozone, each issue gives you: comprehensive review of the controversies, historical background, chronology of important events, opposing views from experts on the subject, and extensive bibliographies for additional research.

RAND Publication Database - The RAND research organization publishes many papers and reports on topics of current public policy interest, including such areas as criminal justice, education, health, national security and international affairs, energy, environment, and science and technology. The RAND Publication Database contains indexing records for all of RAND's publicly available documents, 1963 to present. In many cases, the index record links to the full text of the report.

*Remember Articles+ for interdisciplinary topics (tab above the catalog search box).*

*Remember E-Journals for searchable NYT, WSJ and The Economist (another tab above the catalog search box).*
