Creating Bookmarks
If you use a web page frequently, or if you come across a new one that you like and want to visit again later, you may want to set it as one of your Favorites. Having a Favorites list can be helpful to you when you navigate the web (Note: in some browsers, the Favorites list is called the Bookmarks list).
To set a page as one of your Favorites in Internet Explorer, follow these directions:
- While still on the page you like, use your left mouse button to click once on the Favorites menu on the Menu Bar.

- Slide the mouse down so that "Add to Favorites" is highlighted and click once.
- A box will pop up and show you the name that will display on your Favorites list.
- If you want to change the name to something else so that it's easier for you to remember which web page it is, you can click in the white box and delete the text. Then, type in your new text.
- Click OK to add the page to your Favorites list.
- Click on the Favorites menu again. The new web page should be there.
The bookmarks you create will be saved only on the computer on which you created them. If you will need to access these sites from another computer be sure to record the web address (URL) somewhere that will allow you access them when you are working on other computers.
