Blackwell Synergy is the online journals resource from Blackwell Publishing. It covers the table of contents of more than 700 Blackwell's journals. UNC faculty and students also can access and print the full-text of articles in those journals to which campus libraries subscribe.

To register and to receive alerts, click on the "register" button at the top of the page.

1. Fill in your information and click "Register"



2. Once you have registered, you will see a button at the top of the page labeled "My Synergy." Click on this.



3. On this page you will see several tabs. Click on the one labeled "E-mail Alerts." From this page you can sign up to receive an email alert containing the Table of Contents for each new issue of any Blackwell Synergy journal for free, by clicking on the box to the left of each title.
4. You may also receive alerts when an article is published that matches saved search criteria. To do this you must first save a search. Click on the "Search" button at the top of the page and complete your search criteria. Once you have completed your search, you will be given the option to receive an e-mail if articles matching your search criteria are published online. You can also choose how often you would like to receive the emails.
5. To change the options on a previously saved search, return to the E-Mail Alerts part of "My Synergy." At the bottom of the page, you may change how often you want to be alerted (from "Never" to "Daily, "Weekly," or "Monthly."



6. Choose the format you would like to receive the email in, and click "submit".
