Literature Online is a fully searchable library of more than 350,000 works of English and American poetry, drama and prose, 131 full-text literature journals, and other key criticism and reference resources.

Literature Online provides a personalized area within its online service which allows users to save searches, join a newsletter mailing list, or receive author email alerts. To receive the email alerts, go to Literature Online's homepage at lion.chadwyck.com and click on the "My Archive" link on the left hand menu.

1. First, you must create a username an password, so please click on the link labeled "Create a profile" within the login box, and enter in the necessary information.
2. Once that has been completed, you will be able to go to your personal archive. Please do so by following the link circled below:



3. This will take you to a page where you can modify your profile, view a saved search or record, or subscribe to the mailing list. You can also register for author alerts by following the link labeled as such.



4. From this page, click on "select new author" to add authors you wish to be emailed about when new information is added.



5. Select the authors you are interested in, and you will have successfully registered to receive email alerts.
