Borrowing Policies & Loan Periods

All UNC faculty and graduate students and visiting scholars with a valid UNC One Card or a UNC Hospitals badge can check out materials from campus libraries. Visiting scholars must register at Davis Library, the Health Sciences Library, or the Law Library in order to check out materials. The basic lending information is as follows:

Media Resources Center lends materials to all faculty, students, staff, and anyone with a UNC Borrower's Card.

Videocassettes and DVDs are due three days after check out.
Compact Discs are due one week after check out.
Software circulates for one week after check out.
Tape recorders are due three days after check out.

School of Government Library lends materials to all faculty, students, staff, and North Carolina residents with proper identification for 30 days. The library lends materials to School of Government faculty for one year.
