Finding Cookbooks in the Undergraduate Library
The Undergraduate Library
has an extensive collection of cookbooks, and this guide is intended to help
you find them. Books are listed by category, with some books listed in more
than one category. Most books are shelved on the upper floor of the Undergraduate
Library; their call numbers are preceded by "UL". Also listed are
electronic books, which can be accessed through netLibrary,
and videos, which are held in the Media
Resources Center on the lower level of the Undergraduate Library. A few
books listed are held in the UL Reserves collection and can be found in the
Reserves Reading Room on the ground floor of the library, and those listed as
UL Reference are in the reference collection on the ground floor, next to the
reference desk.
To check if a book is available, use the UNC
Library Catalog. If you are looking for a cookbook not held by the Undergraduate
Library, try searching the catalog, because Davis Library and the North Carolina
Collection also have many cookbooks. Alternatively, search the online catalogs
of the public libraries of Chapel Hill,
Carrboro,
or Orange
County (Hillsborough).
