BBC Shakespeare Plays
Streaming video of full-length classic dramatic performances of 37 Shakespeare plays produced by BBC and Time-Life films. FMG Master Academic Collection
Streaming video of full-length documentaries from Films Media Group's Master Academic Collection. The Master Academic Collection digital video archive includes more than 5000 complete videos with approximately 500 new titles added every year. Subject areas include: Humanities & Social Sciences, Science, Business & Economics, and Health. The collections are dynamic – as new programs are added, they will be available to current subscribers automatically. Subscribers are allowed unrestricted, asynchronous, 24/7 access to all video content by authorized faculty, students, and staff from any location.

AdViews Digital Collection at Duke University
The AdViews digital collection provides access to thousands of historic commercials created for clients or acquired by the D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles (DMB&B) advertising agency or its predecessor during the 1950s - 1980s. All of the commercials held in the DMB&B Archives will be digitized, allowing students and researchers access to a wide range of vintage brand advertising from the first four decades of mainstream commercial television.

The Museum of Broadcast Communications Archive
The archive includes more than 8,500 digitized television shows, radio programs, and photos (free, but must create user account).

UbuWeb
A completely independent resource dedicated to all strains of the avant-garde, ethnopoetics, and outsider arts. All materials on UbuWeb are being made available for noncommercial and educational use only. All rights belong to the author(s).

Southern Foodways Alliance Documentary Films

Internet Archives
A collection of more than 100,000 free videos and films online. Includes a large selection of ephemeral films from the Prelinger Archives.

Civil Rights Digital Library
Provides access to online films, texts, images and audio recordings related to the Civil Rights movement in the United States in the 1950's and 1960's.

WGBH Open Vault
Selected video excerpts and transcripts from public television station WGBH's archives.

WNET Thirteen - SOUL!
Episodes from the 1970's all black variety show, Soul (through WNET Thirteen).

TED: Technology, Entertainment, Design
This is an ever-growing collection of short presentations and speeches presented by a wide variety of acclaimed individuals at the annual TED conference.

Folkstreams.net
Provides streaming video of full length documentaries about American Roots Cultures. The site also includes essays about traditions and film making, as well as transcriptions, study and teaching guides, suggested readings, and links to related websites.

Hulu
Provides access to TV shows, feature films, and clips. They list more than 130 content providers including: FOX, NBC Universal, MGM, Sony Pictures Television, and Warner Bros.

SnagFilms [beta]
Provides access to a wide range of documentary films (they list an inventory of 550 and growing).

Media That Matters
Provides access to dozens of short films (each is 12 minutes or less) on subjects ranging from human rights to global warming. All of the films were jury selected through an annual festival and most have been made by young and emerging filmmakers.

Annenberg Media
Provides streaming video of educational programming covering a wide range of disciplines including American Cinema, a video instructional series on film history.

Library of Congress American Memory Project
Provides access to a digital record of the American experience, its history and creativity through sound recordings and moving images.

Frontline
Provides streaming video of select Frontline programming, including Frontline World and classic features. Program content is wide ranging and includes current programs from 2008.

BBC Online
Provides online access to BBC's archives including themed collections of radio and TV programs, documents and photographs.

Discovery
Provides access to episodes and documentaries from the channel’s programming.

Europa Film Treasures
Provides access to films of early European cinema from 30 European film archives.

Babelgum
An internet and mobile tv platform that organizes its video content into thematic channels with dedicated publishers who select content based on their areas of expertise.

POV
From the acclaimed series, a variety of full-length and short films (some lesson plans included).

NOVA
Selected programs that have been made available online (of note, programs are chaptered and closed captioned).

Great Performances
Classical music, opera, popular song, musical theater, dance, drama, and performance documentaries.

PBS LearningMedia is a dynamic platform offering the best of public media content and produced specifically for PreK-16 teachers. With free access to over 14,000 high-quality resources tied to national standards, teachers can download, save and share exactly what they need for an inspired classroom experience.

The site requires registration but all the content is free for educators, students and families.
