Like many large academic library systems, UNC maintains a number of different libraries and collections. University Libraries refer to the libraries and collections that serve the academic disciplines in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and sciences. This includes everything from the College of Arts and Sciences to the School of Social Work.
Davis Library houses
the main general, humanities, and social sciences collections, including
the major campus holdings of government documents and microforms. It
also includes the main reference service, Geographic Information Systems
resources and services, and interlibrary borrowing services for the
Academic Affairs programs on campus.
