One of the most useful books in the Art Library reference section is ArtSpeak: a Guide to Contemporary Ideas, Movements, and Buzzwords, 1945 to the Present, which includes illustrations, short bibliographies, and a concise definition/explanation for each entry, from 'Abject art' to 'Zeitgeist.' A related title, ArtSpoke, covers 1848 to the 20th century.
