Navigation
Unlike most of the other Library tutorials, ARTIFAQ does not consist of major sections, each containing several sub-sections, and all linked together. Instead, each "FAQ" has its own discrete section. They are all, however, linked together. You may read each in order, or only those that interest you.
- Along the left side of each page are links to the different sub-sections within ARTIFAQ, which allows you to move directly to a particular item.
- In the lower, righthand corner of some pages are "next" and "back" links that you can use to move back and forth throughout the pages.
- At the bottom of each page is a navigation bar. This bar includes links to the tutorial's homepage, a detailed site map, a contact link where you can email us with your questions or comments, and the library's homepage. It also includes links to institutions you may find helpful in your research, such as the Sloane Art Library or the Ackland Art Museum.
Links within the Tutorial
Links are used throughout the tutorial, both to show internal references and to point to related information on other web sites. In order to avoid losing track of your place in the tutorial when you follow links, you need to understand a few things about the behavior of the links:
- In most cases, links that point to material within the tutorial appear in the current browser window. Use your browser's "Back" button or the tutorial's own navigation links to return to where you were.
- External links will open in a separate browser window (a new session), in which case you can close the new browser window to return to where you were.
