The tutorial includes an introductory section and six main sections:

1. Introduction provides an overview of the tutorial itself.
2. Chemistry Literature provides an overview of the chemical literature.
3. Search Strategies outlines the process of searching for chemistry literature.
4. Accessing the full text explains how to find chemistry resources in the UNC Libraries.
5. Understanding the Literature explains the different parts of of a scientific research article.
6. Citing Literature teaches you how to read and produce American Chemical Society Style of Citations.
7. Navigating the Chemistry Library introduces you to finding chemistry resources in the Kenan Chemistry Library.

Each section contains a number of sub-sections. While the sections are arranged in a logical progression, each section can stand on its own, so it is not necessary to follow them in sequence.
