Searching SciFinder Scholar by Author Name

Choose "Author Name" on the Explore menu if you already know the name of a chemist whose work you are interested in.

Explore by author name dialog box

Enter the author's last name. Be sure to spell it correctly. You can enter the entire first name, just an initial, or nothing at all (if the name is unique enough). You have the option to have "Look for alternative spellings of the last name" so you don't miss citations where the name might be transliterated in different ways (e.g., from Arabic or Russian) or spelled incorrectly or differently.

Another important database for chemists and other scientists is the Science Citation Index Expanded.
