Opening a New Window

Let's try using one of the most helpful functions of the File menu. You will be opening a new browser window. When you have opened the window, you can either minimize it or close it to return to the tutorial.

1. Point with your mouse to the File menu.
2. Click with the left mouse button once to open the drop-down menu.
3. Point with your mouse to the option New.
4. A menu will slide out to the right.
5. Move with your mouse to the option New Window.
6. Click with your left mouse button.
7. A new window will appear.

You can also use the keyboard to open a new window. Hit the control (ctrl) key and the letter n key at the same time, and a new browser window should open. Try it now.
