Sections

This tutorial includes the following sections:

  • The Introduction provides an overview of the tutorial and introduces some of the major terms used throughout.
  • The Web Browsers section explains how to open, use, and understand your web browser.
  • The Navigating the Web section explains how to recognize web addresses, go to specfic web pages, and follow links on the web.
  • The Search Engines section explains how to use search engines to find information on the World Wide Web.
  • The Miscellaneous Web Skills section provides instructions for a number of tasks that will prove helpful when you are navigating the World Wide Web.
  • The Web Safety section provides a brief overview of personal and virus safety on the web.

There are also a few helpful pages that you can link from the bar of links at the bottom of each page in this tutorial. Those pages are:

  • The Using guide can help refresh your memory about how to use this tutorial.
  • The Site Map can help you find out where you are in the tutorial, and can help you locate other pages in the tutorial.
