Understanding Links
Links, or hyperlinks, are words or images that lead you to different web pages. When links are words, they are often underlined or otherwise distinguished from normal text. In this tutorial, for instance, links are in a different color than the rest of the text. You can always check to see if something is a link by positioning your mouse over the text or image. If the item is a link, the regular mouse arrow will turn into a small hand with the pointer finger extended.
Roll over this page with your mouse to see if you find any links.
Now, click on your minimized CNN window by clicking on the button for it on your desktop taskbar.
![]()
When you have the CNN page open, use your left mouse button to click once on the restore button in the top right corner of the browser screen.
This will make the CNN page somewhat smaller, which will make it easier to toggle back and forth between that page and this tutorial.
If you're not familiar with the restore button, it should look something like this:
![]()
Scroll over the CNN page with your mouse. Do you see any links? Remember, when your mouse runs over a link, the regular arrow cursor will turn into a small hand.
Click next to continue working with links on the CNN page.
