Set up a Consultation with a Librarian
Each semester, instructors need to update their course readings, ensure their students have access to high quality scholarly sources, and find new ways to integrate information technologies that will enhance their teaching. With hundreds of e-databases, thousands of e-journals, not to mention little things like scanning and copyright, creating an information rich course can be a daunting task. Our staff can work with you to identify, customize, and integrate library and information resources and services into your online courses. Whether it's linking directly to your course readings, linking to images from ARTstor, or providing direct access to a subject specialist, we can help.
ARTstor is a developing digital library of images, descriptive data, as well as software tools to enable the active use of both the images and data. Instructors can create their own teaching collections that include personal images. Contact us for more information or for assistance in getting started.
Request a one-on-one consultation with a librarian to link reserve readings, journal articles, library tutorials, and other information resources in to your Blackboard course pages.
The Libraries e-reserve services can scan, upload, and pursue copyright permission for your course readings. They can also make other course-related materials available. Learn more about e-reserves or contact us.
- Use Linkguide to learn to create stable links
- IM or chat with a librarian to investigate a particular broken link
- Consult with a librarian to schedule a workshop for yourself and others in your department about link management

We can help you link your students to a subject specialist who can provide general and specialized research assistance. Check our list of subject specialists or contact us for more information.
Librarians instruct 6,000+ students in the use of subject-specific resources, technology, and research strategies every year, but we know you don't always have time to invite a librarian to your class. To help guide students to the information they need to succeed in your class, you may want to assign one of the library's online tutorials. We can customize a tutorial or web guide to suit your specific instructional goals. Please contact us for more information.
