1. Perform a search from the Digital Library.
2. You need to display each retrieved reference in your search result individually by clicking on the title.
3. Click on the Display in Bib Tex Format link on each reference.

A new www browser window will open displaying the reference. Copy
(CTRL+C) this reference into a new word processor text file, and paste
it into the text file (CTRL+V).
Note: The filter does not transfer the abstract of the desired reference, and the page numbers need a surplus hyphen removed. You can make the corrections after loading the references into EndNote, or you can make the corrections before the references are loaded into EndNote.
To make these corrections beforehand:
1. After pasting the reference into a text file… locate the end of the
reference (marked by } on a separate line).
2. Create a blank line above it, and type in abstract= { }, (ensure you have
a space before the word abstract, no space between the word abstract and the
=, a space following the =, and no space between the } and the comma at the
end).
3. From the Digital Library window, copy the abstract and paste it between
the curly brackets in the abstract field of your text document.
4. Edit the pages field by removing one of the 2 hyphens between the page
numbers, for example: pages = {365-376},
5. Save the file with the extension .txt.
6. Return to the Digital Library set of references and repeat steps 2 and
3 above. Make sure you leave one blank line between each reference in
the text file.
7. When all references have been copied, save the text file in a place
where you can locate it easily.
To import these references into EndNote:
Note: The EndNote Software does not come equipped with a filter for importing
ACM Digital Library Records. You will have to download the filter, which can
be found on the University of Queensland Library website at:
http://www.library.uq.edu.au/endnote/filters.html#uqfilters
Make sure to save the filter in the same folder as all other EndNote filters
and make a note of the name of the file. It may make sense to rename it "ACM
Digital Library.enf" so it is easier to remember. Once the filter has been downloaded,
you will be able to import your ACM Digital Library references.
1. Open EndNote and the library into which you want to import references.
2. Under File, click on Import…
3. Choose the text file that contains your references.
4. Select "other filters" from the pull-down menu next to Import Option.
5. Select the ACM Digital Library Filter. Note: If EndNote is running while you are downloading the filter, the filter might not appear in the list of options. If this happens you should close out of EndNote and then reopen the program.
6. Click on Import. Your references should appear in the EndNote Library.
