Evaluating Articles: Relevance

When searching for information, you need to find out if the articles you find discuss your topic, or if they simply contain some of the same words and phrases.

For example, if you were doing a study on Shakespeare's portrayal of political power in Henry V, which article would you use?

article about shakespeare performance

or

article from Shakespeare Quarterly

Some articles may be trivial, common knowledge, too general, or too specific; be sure that the information that you are using is appropriate for your needs.
