Using SketchUp in Google Earth
This short course will introduce participants to Google SketchUp, the free software that you can use to create, modify and share 3D models. It's very simple to learn and use, and you can then place your models into the Google Earth environment as realistic 3-D structures. The software has a variety of applications for research in multiple disciplines. In the course we will create simple 3-D models and place them into Google Earth. Participants will learn enough that they will be able to continue working in SketchUp on their own. http://www.sketchup.com/
