Digital Copyright: Objectives
Edison 51010-R Information and media are increasingly available in a digital form. The ease with which digital information is copied and spread adds to its ubiquity, but there is cause for caution when it comes to digital information, especially journals, books, music and movies. The same copyright protection extends to these digital files as would apply to a printed book, DVD movie, or vinyl album.
Digital copyright is taken very seriously on campus, and whether you are citing an electronic journal, designing a personal web page, or managing your MP3 collection, you should be aware of the policies that guide the University in these matters.
