This tutorial currently consists of 6 major sections, each containing several sub-sections. Each page of the tutorial provides three navigational tools:

• At the top of the page is a navigation bar consisting of links to the six main sections and the quiz. The label of the section you are working on appears in black and is not linked. Along the left side of each page are links to the different sub-sections within each section to let you move directly to a particular sub-section.
• In the lower, righthand corner of the page are "next" and "back" links that you can use to move back and forth throughout the pages. At the end of each section, you will see a link to the "next section" indicating you have come to the end of one section and can continue on to the next.
• At the bottom of each page is another navigation bar. This bar includes links to a list of all tutorials, a detailed site map, a contact link where you can email us with your questions or comments, and the library's homepage.

Links are used throughout the tutorial, both to show internal references and to point to related information on other web sites. In order to avoid losing track of your place in the tutorial when you follow links, you need to understand a few things about the behavior of the links:

1. In most cases, links that point to material within the tutorial appear in the current browser window. Use your browser's "Back" button or the tutorial's own navigation links to return to where you were.
2. External links will either open in a separate browser window (a new session), in which case you can either close the new browser window or go directly to an external page, in which case you can use your browser's "Back" button to return to where you were.
