About Conference Committee Reports

If the conference committee reaches agreement, a report is issued that is submitted to both the House and Senate. The report usually contains the compromise bill and a statement of the managers explaining the compromise. The compromise bill must be voted on as is, with no further amendments.

Conference committee reports are published as House Reports and are also printed in the Congressional Record.
