This tutorial is intended to help you trace legislation as it moves through the U.S. Congress, and to locate publications emanating from the legislative process, such as bills, hearings, and committee prints.
Many of these documents from recent years are available in electronic sources accessible from the library's home page and on the Web. Many more -- especially historical documents -- are available only in print and microform formats in the Documents Section of Davis Library.
This tutorial will cover the basics of locating legislative publications in all formats for each step of the legislative process.
Locating legislative information can be a complex task. The staff at the Davis Library Reference Desk and in the Documents Section are available to assist you in finding the materials you need.
The Documents Section is located within the Davis Library Reference Department. Come to the Reference Desk for assistance and access to the documents stacks.
