Southern Oral History Program Collection (sample audio clip)
Background
The Southern Oral History Program (SOHP) was established in 1973 by the UNC-Chapel Hill History Department. It is adminstered by the Center for the Study of the American South. Researchers conduct and collect interviews of Southerners, both prominent and less visible individuals. The oral histories are then deposited in the Southern Historical Collection. oral history recording
