The University Library provides a special electronic form for recalling books that are checked out. The recall process can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks. You will be notified by email when the book is ready to be picked up at Brauer Library. In order for your request to be processed quickly, you should complete all fields on the form.

The UNC-Chapel Hill Libraries post a weekly New Books List on their website. New books that the Brauer Library receives are kept temporarily on the New Book Shelf in the Reading Room. The Brauer Library has another electronic form that can be used to place a hold on a new book so that you can check it out as soon as it comes off of the New Book Shelf.
