Interlibrary Loan
If the UNC-Chapel Hill Libraries do not have a specific book, article, or other resource that you need, you might want to check other library catalogs or WorldCat, a union catalog of more than 39 million records representing the holdings of several thousand libraries.

UNC-Chapel Hill is part of the TRLN (Triangle REsearch LIbraries Network). As a student or faculty of UNC-Chapel Hill, you can check materials out from the area libraries at Duke, North Carolina State, and North Carolina Central. If you find a book not available at UNC-Chapel Hill you can visit local libraries to obtain the material immediately, or you can submit an Interlibrary Loan request for the item.

Interlibrary Loan Online Form

This service is available via the Web-based request form shown above.

Requests that can be filled at Duke University, North Carolina Central University or North Carolina State University take less time, about 3-5 working days. Interlibrary loan is not restricted to these Universities. Requests to other libraries outside TRLN can take anywhere from 7-10 working days to several weeks to fill, so it's a good idea to make your requests as early as possible.
