About This Tutorial
The Library Research in the Sciences Tutorial is a series of Web-based, self-paced modules designed to help you learn how to find, evaluate and manage information in an increasingly complex information environment. The tutorial introduces you to some important search concepts relating to the science disciplines and guides you in the use of UNC-Chapel Hill library resources.
The tutorial's modular design allows it to be completed in any order. It can also be used as a source of reference for any interested researcher. At the end of the tutorial, you will find a quiz you can use to test your level of understanding.
The tutorial will be updated regularly. We encourage and invite all users to share their comments and suggestions for the tutorial, and we look forward to hearing from you.
The tutorial was developed by Kim Vassiliadis, University Libraries, and Erin Carrillo, School of Information and Library Science.
