Italian Language Resources
Language is an indispensable part of Italian culture. If you’ve already taken some Italian courses, study abroad is the perfect opportunity to use your language skills. And even if your program is conducted in English, learning some basic Italian before heading abroad is a great idea. Here are some language resources that can help:
- Italian Table, in UNC’s Department of Romance Languages, consists of informal, conversational sessions to help develop Italian language skills. For schedule information, visit the "About the Department and Events" section of the Romance Languages website.
- About.com’s Italian language portal provides basic instruction through an “Italian for Beginners” section, audio clips, hand gestures, and numerous links to other sites. Click here to check it out.
