Study Abroad in Italy Research Tutorial

Italian Newspapers and News

Regional identities are strong in Italy, and many Italians read daily newspapers from their region of choice (quotidiani). The following three dailies have a national scope, and their websites include free content (in Italian). UNC subscribes to the print editions of Corriere della sera and La Stampa, and you can find current issues in the Serials Department on the first floor of Davis Library.

You can find links to other online Italian magazines and newspapers at WorldPress.org.

SCOLA also transmits Italian news television feeds to Channel 4 in the Chapel Hill area once or twice a day. No subtitles are provided, but if you’re looking to immerse yourself in the Italian culture before heading abroad, this is an excellent resource. Check the programming schedule here.
