Why Visit Italian Libraries?

Many UNC-based study abroad programs won't require you to visit Italian libraries, but there are other reasons to familiarize yourself with the system:

You can save money and avoid lugging books abroad by knowing how to find them in libraries.
You might undertake an independent study project as part of your coursework abroad.
You might obtain a grant or scholarship to conduct in-depth research in Italy.

By visiting Italian libraries and using their services, you'll experience an aspect of everyday life in Italy that is culturally different from our own.
